Herbal Infused Bath Salts

I was feeling stiff and cold to my bones after a day gardening in the blustering rain, so I decided to come in and make a relaxing bath salt blend for muscles & mind.

I simply added a few handfuls of dried rose petals and calendula to a mixture of magnesium flakes, Himalayan pink salt, and sweet almond oil. I also added a few drops of lavender essential oil and then made sure it was thoroughly stirred.

  • Magnesium is known for being a wonderful muscle relaxant, especially for cramps during that time of the month, and has mood boosting effects
  • Lavender is soothing and calming, and is also antibacterial
  • Calendula heals skin and body
  • Rose calms, balances, and tones the skin

I simply throw a handful under warm running bath water and stir to dissolve, then scoop the flowers out before I drain the tub. You can also scoop the mixture into a muslin bag and pop that straight into the tub to save yourself the hassle of cleaning it up after you’re nicely relaxed from your soak!
